Love this campsite. There is nothing there, just a field with an elsan point, no toilets or electric but it's so peaceful. The field has the river running along the left, and over the hedge to the right, there is the canal. There are two pubs in the village, we didn't use either, there is a well stocked village shop opposite the entrance to the field and the canal towpath goes for miles in either direction. We went there for the first time in July 2023 and can't believe it took us so long. Already booked to return at the end of the month ๐Ÿ˜Š

What a wonderful site this is, yes we did have an issue where somebody thought it was ok to have a rave with 20 other people and a resident on the canal playing loud music but the owners stamped on that parade within minutes and beautiful peace was restored, theres a well stocked shop literally opposite the entrance, yes a little bit more expensive but only to be expected for a sleepy village, the canal is literally next door with wonderful walks, but I must say the towpath is a little rough in places and the pitch we were on overlooks the river. All in all we had a fantastic week and we were well looked after by Geoff and Timmy. Don't want to go home yet which is a first for me.

Bridge meadow provides my business with a lot of footfall in the summer months and anyone that stays there loves the space, the closeness of the village and canal, and itโ€™s other amenities.

Been coming here for the last four or five years . What a jewel in the Oxfordshire countryside Bridge Meadow is . Always a pleasure to stay here and enjoy the fishing and the two pubs in the village . Jeff & Timmy are excellent hosts and pop round for a chat when their doing the rounds of the site and nothing is too much trouble for them including towing me out a few years ago . Looking forward to our next visit in August if not before .

Directions

From J11 on M40 follow A361 to Daventry for approximately 3m, take left turn to Cropredy, follow the road for about 1 mile and site is opposite the Spar shop. The gate is on the left immediately before the canal bridge.

Customers are advised to follow the above directions as turning into the site from the canal bridge is not recommended when towing a caravan.
